The Town of Busti Administration Offices will be closed on
Monday, October 12, 2026 in observation of Columbus Day. Due to repairs and maintenance, all administrative and court offices located at 125 Chautauqua Avenue, Lakewood NY 14750, will be closed on Friday, October 16, 2026. This includes the offices of the Town Clerks, Assessors, Code Enforcement & Court Clerks.
DESIGNATION OF RESTRICTED HIGHWAY Pursuant to Section 104a of the Highway Law the following described highway: Baker Street (CR 332 / County Route 30), in the Town of Busti, between Hoag Road and S. Maple Avenue (CR 37 / County Route 43), approximately 0.15 miles (900') west of S. Maple Avenue intersection, will be closed for drainage structure repairs. The repair work is expected to begin Monday, October 5, 2026, and is anticipated to last no longer than two weeks. A detour will be posted. Please plan to use an alternate route. is hereby designated as a Restricted Highway. Pursuant to Section 1625 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law all movement of vehicles, persons or animals on such highway is hereby restricted and regulated in accordance with the determination of the Superintendent of Highways as evidenced by posted signs, signals or barriers placed along said highway and/or by directions by an authorized representative of the Superintendent of Highways. Any action taken by the Superintendent of Highways pursuant to Section 1625a of the Vehicle and Traffic Law shall supersede any other provisions of the Vehicle and Traffic Law where inconsistent or in conflict with respect to the following enumerated subjects: 1625a 1. Establishment of maximum and minimum speed limits at which vehicles may proceed along any such restricted highway. 2. Weights and dimensions of vehicles. 3. Use of such restricted highway by pedestrians, equestrians and animals. 4. Parking, standing, stopping and backing of vehicles. 5. Control of persons and equipment engaged in work on such restricted highways. 1625b The provisions of this chapter with respect to registration shall not apply to vehicles and equipment engaged in work on such restricted highways. 1625c When used on such restricted highways, all traffic control devices shall be considered as official traffic control devices and shall conform to the manual and specifications for a uniform system of traffic control devices adopted by the department of transportation.
